Summer break is going by at lighting pace! With just a few weeks before the new school year begins, brings lots of excitement and nervousness into our household. You see, this past June our oldest graduated from Elementary, which means that this upcoming school year, he will be entering Middle school. This also means that in just a few short years, we will be preparing and dealing with potential colleges, scholarships and financial aid applications. Yes, I am aware that I might be over thinking this, but I am a planner by nature, and planning a bright educational future for our kids is my number one priority.
Education is extremely important for our family, both my grandmother and my mother are teachers, and both my sister and I are college grads. Not only is education important for a bright future, but finding a balance between pursuing your education and maintaining your financial health is also important. In my case, I decided to attend a local community College and then University to focus on education without accumulating an astronomical debt. Currently, my husband is also attending a local community College to earn his Bachelors degree and advance his career opportunities.
Bright Educational Future with Coca-Cola and the Hispanic Scholarship fund
With partnership of companies and scholarships programs, such as Coca-Cola and the Hispanic Scholarship fund, Hispanic families, such as mine, can continue to achieve their college dreams and aspirations. Many pre-teens and teens are working hard through scarifies and dedication to achieve their dreams and Coca-Cola understands that importance Hispanic families place on their education. Coca-Cola wants to provide them with the opportunity to achieve their educational goals and become future leaders. Right now and through August 31, Coca-Cola and the Hispanic Scholarship fund have come together through the #ForTheDream program and #ForTheDreamSweeps to help make college dreams come true.
