Enjoy your Summer break with this Fast and Easy Ice Cream Cola Float Recipe.
It is refreshing and easy to prepare.
Baby it is HOT out there! It is mid-summer down here in South Florida and our temperatures are reaching between 90-100 degrees every day. The good thing about summer days is that to cool off you can spend your days at your local beach or at your neighborhood pool. Can you hear South Floridians saying ahh? But for those days that you cannot make it to the pool or the beach a cool refreshment can also do the trick. This is why this weekend I decided to head over to my local Winn-Dixie supermarket store and pick up a gallon, yes a gallon, of ice cream and a couple of different flavors of their new retro Chek soft drinks made with Real Sugar.
Fast and Easy Ice Cream Cola Float Recipe
Of course as soon as I got home, the first thing my kids asked was “what are you going to make with all that ice cream and all those soft drinks?” Well, since I wanted to surprise them, I simply replied with “we shall see!” But what a good South Florida Mommy to do to keep her family cool with a delicious, refreshing and easy treat? No other than her famous Fast and Easy Ice Cream Cola Float Recipe. So, what makes this a fast and easy float? Well, the answer is simple. All you need to do to prepare this fast and easy refreshment is add a scoop of ice cream into a tall glass (for an even quicker treat, use a coffee mug, works just as well.). Then, slowly pour in some delicious Chek Real Sugar soda of your choice, I use cola, until glass is full. Finally, garnish your float with some whipped cream and a Maraschino cherry. Optionally, you can also add sprinkles if you want.
Sounds refreshing, right? Speaking of refreshing, the new retro Chek soft drinks are available at your local BI-LO, Harveys and Winn-Dixie locations. Also, these retro cans designs are available in cola, strawberry, orange, and grape. We had a chance to tried them all and trust me they are all that good and the best part is that these soft drinks don’t contain aspartame and high-fructose corn syrup, which can be found in other soft drinks. Find out more about the Retro Chek drinks by visiting the bi-lo Webpage, the Harveys supermarkets Webpage or the Winn-Dixie Webpage.

What a great reminder of a classic summer treat! I’ll admit my daughter had her very first ice cream cola float this past December (on a cold day)! LOL She LOVED it of course! Must do it again during the summer 🙂
