3 Family Road Trip Packing Essentials
If you been following us for some time, you know that we love visiting one of our favorite cities in our state. Since Summer officially started last week and before it gets too hot in the Central Florida area, we decided to take a quick road trip to enjoy the weather. Whether your road trip begins from your home city or you are starting from a far away destination, you know that there are some things you cannot do without. This is why I decided to share with you our top 3 family road trip packing essentials my family cannot do without on every road trip.
Number #1 Road Trip Packing Essential: Entertainment!
Okay, so let’s begin with our number one family road trip packing essential and that is entertainment! Yes, I know some have opinions on technology, but I am sure, parents will agree with me. Technology sure does make for a more pleasant ride for EVERYONE in the car.
Thankfully for us, the 2018 Chevrolet Equinox 2.0 Premier has available built-in 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, which gives both my husband and our passengers 🙂 the ability to connect up to seven devices to the Internet via available Wi-Fi and therefore, minimizing the question “are we there yet?” been asked 5000 times before we arrive at our destination.
Number #2 Road Trip Packing Essential: Headphones!
Speaking of entertainment and technology, our number 2 road trip packing essential has to be headphones! Okay, let’s be honest here. Having three kids seating in the back seat and each of them with their own device is not easy for A-N-Y-O-N-E, especially for the parents! 🙂 Having said that, headphones are such a lifesaver both us and the kids during any road trip, ’cause really, who wants to hear to their brother and/or sister play the same song or game for hours on end? At least not my kids.
Hey, also don’t forget to pack your USB charging cables, you don’t want them running out of charge mid-way through your final destination. Thankfully, the 2018 Chevrolet Equinox 2.0 Premier comes equipped with plenty of USB ports on both the front and the rear rows. One thing, I really love about the 2018 Chevrolet Equinox 2.0 Premier is that it comes equipped with a handy charging pad, which is perfect for my husband’s Samsung S8 and my Samsung S9+ smartphones. Hey, no more sweating it when our charging cables are left behind at home. 🙂
Number #3 Road Trip Packing Essential: Snacks!
We made it to our number #3 road trip packing essential and this one is for every member of the family! I don’t know about your kids, but my kids sure love their snacks, therefore, our road trip packing essential guide couldn’t go without including snacks and drinks in it. We usually pack easy snacking items and waters before we head out on any road trip. As a matter of fact, depending on the trip and how long we will be in the car, we also pack sandwiches for lunch on the go.
Again, here the new 2018 Chevrolet Equinox is a huge help. The 2018 Chevrolet Equinox 2.0 Premier cargo space is 29.9 ft³ and 63.5 ft³ with the second row rear seats folded.
One concern we all have during any road trip is gas and comfort, so if you are looking for a fuel-efficient medium size SUV, take a look at the newly redesigned 2018 Chevrolet Equinox. The Equinox Premier 2.0 model we drove, comes equipped with dual zone auto climate, heated front seats, blind spot warning system, rear park assist, blind spot warning, power tailgate, LED headlamps. But that’s not all, the Chevrolet Equinox is equipped with Stop/Start technology.
Stop/Start automatic stop/start shuts off the engine instead of it idling at a stop and then rapidly restarts the engine when you want to drive away. This allows for Chevrolet vehicles to be fuel-efficient, the 2.0 Premier Equinox gives 28 city & 39 highway MPG. So there. Have you driven the 2018 Chevrolet Equinox yet? If you have, let us know and be sure to share with us your number one road trip packing essential by dropping us a comment via the section below.
