California Dreaming – Making Memories in L.A
Sponsored post: This post is sponsored by Vanguard but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.
If you been following this site or any of our social media channels for a while, you already know that I love traveling. For me traveling is not just a pastime, but more like a hobby. Frankly, traveling is my way to unwind and relax! I love that traveling offers so many different aspects and one of my favorites is that when I travel I get to experience other cultures and customs through the locals or simply, via our friends from around the world.
Recently, I found out this little fact: Do you know that **Vanguard clients are 15% more likely to explore mutual hobbies with their partner compared with clients of other investment firms? Isn’t that just so neat? I think it is because we all deserve to explore our hobbies a little more. After all, we all work really hard to make our hobbies happen and since I am not an exception to this rule. This past weekend, I decided to head to the west coast and finally explore L.A during the holiday season.
After arriving in Los Angeles, I quickly made my way to my hotel. I began by checking into my hotel room followed by exploring the hotel lobby and finally grabbing a bite to eat. And because when in California, a visit to the happiest place on earth is a given, that’s where I headed next.
Many, many, many moons ago, my father lived in Anaheim and frequently visited Disneyland. Although I’ve lived in the states for a long time, until this past weekend, I had never been to Disneyland. Yes, I have been to the Magic Kingdom here in Florida many, many, many times, but I truly didn’t expect what Disneyland had in store for me.
Disneyland was the perfect way to soak in the holiday season. The weather was perfect, the iconic castle was all dressed up and the traditional holiday decor that was just magical. Seriously, there is nothing more fun to me than exploring places and sites I have never been to or seen before.
I am so glad that we are all part of this community and that I get to bring you along on my travel adventures, just like Vanguard clients are part of a special investing community. Vanguard hopes people who share a similar investing philosophy will want to be part of that community too. Money is a big part of life, and where you choose to invest matters.

**The Where Investors Belong survey was conducted by market research firm Kelton Global in 2016. It polled 1,000 Vanguard clients and compared them with 1,000 clients of other investment firms. All differences between Vanguard clients and clients of other investment firms are statistically significant at the 95% confidence level. The parental stat refers to clients with children of any age who provided the number of hours per week they typically spend with their children or who, compared to other people they may know, believe to be more involved in their child’s life. The experiences of these Vanguard clients may not be representative of the experience of other Vanguard clients and aren’t a guarantee of future investment performance or success.
