Do you remember when you first saw Star Wars? Or who introduced you to the franchise? I do! I wasn’t a big Star Wars fan as a child, queue in the suspense music! 🙂 Anyhow, when I met my husband, I met a true child of the 80s. He was/is a HUGE Star Wars fan. As you can imagine, since we met, I have spent countless hours rediscover the Star Wars movies alongside him. And well, like all Star Wars fans out there, I too am enchanted by the characters and the movies plot line. Now, that our boys are older, we are introducing them to these movies as well. And yes, if you are wondering, we own the movies in both VHS and DVD. Since, Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be in theaters next month, there have been lots of TV commercials and the boys are pretty aware of that a new movie will be out soon. So, starting this week for movie night, we will be watching one Star Wars movie beginning with episode 3 and working our way through how the movies first aired.

Cereal Chocolate Brownies

What better way to enjoy family time than with a special treat, right? Since, the kids love cereal, chocolate, and cake. I decided that this week’s treat will be cereal chocolate brownies inspired by the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie. To make our cereal chocolate brownies, all you need is 1 box Chocolate chunk brownie Mix, 1/2 cup of Cinnamon Toast Crunch Limited edition Star Wars cereal or 1/2 cup of Mini Trix limited edition Star Wars Cereal. And to put them together all you need to do is prepare brownie batter according to directions on package. Then pour batter into greased baking pan and bake according to directions on package. After the brownies are done, let brownies completely cool. Once the brownies are completely cool, sprinkle your chosen cereal evenly over top of brownies and drizzle brownies & cereal with chocolate topping. Play your movie, serve your brownies and spend some quality time with your family!

As you can see, these brownies are super fun and easy to make. The best part is that you can let the kids have all the fun and let them chose which cereal to top their brownies with. Cereal Chocolate Brownies

Ingredients

1 box Chocolate chunk brownie Mix
1/2 cup of Cinnamon Toast Crunch Limited edition Star Wars cereal, for topping OR
1/2 cup of Mini Trix limited edition Star Wars Cereal, for topping
Chocolate syrup, optional

Instructions

Prepare brownie batter according to directions on package.
Pour batter into greased baking pan.
Bake according to directions on package.
Let brownies completely cool.
Sprinkle cereal evenly over top of brownies and drizzle brownies & cereal with chocolate topping.
Serve and enjoy!
