We were invited to see “Brave”, the newest film by Disney/Pixar, in 3D last Tuesday Evening. Both of my boys were very intrigued by the movie and had an awesome time. They loved the the Scottish dancer and the Scottish bagpipe player, prior to the movie, who danced and played for all of us. They also loved the movie trivia that Radio Disney hosted for all the attendees.
“Brave” follows Merida, the main character, as she strives to come out from under her mother’s thumb. Merida is granted an ill-fated wish and the ensuing peril forces Merida to harness all of her resources, including her mischievous triplet brothers, to undo a beastly curse and discover the meaning of true bravery. Merida’s relationship with her mother is transformed, teaching her the true meaning of love and bravery, and shattering all their previous differences.
We thought the movie was GREAT! There are some scenes that might be scary for younger kids, such as bears fighting, otherwise their is no inappropriate language. Extra tip, you might want to stay until after the credits for a short film scene. 😉
