We officially made it to November, can you believe it? November marks the beginning of the holiday and celebration season. However, before we kick off the Holiday season, we first had to celebrate spooky Halloween! I was beyond ecstatic to see Halloween finally fall on a weekend, because we could surprise the kids with a special outing. Since we have so many activities happening during the week, Halloween is usually reserved to just trick-or-treating around the neighborhood and quickly returning home to get the kids to bed. This year, hubby and I, decided to surprise the kiddos by taking them trick-or-treating to one of our local malls and then to a delicious dinner at our favorite local Denny’s restaurant location. We had a great time seeing all the creative costumes everyone was wearing, you can see our favorite costume from this year’s Halloween party on the image above. By the time we were done trick-or-treating the kiddos were pretty hungry, which signaled dinner time.
Enjoy Fresh Ingredients Offerings when Eating Out!

Not only did Halloween fall on a weekend, it was on a Saturday, super bonus for this budget conscious family of 5! You see, Tuesdays and Saturdays kids eat free at our local Denny’s restaurant and this mommy can truly appreciate that Denny’s offerings are both budget friendly and they offer fresh ingredients on their menu items. Since we know that the Holiday season is fast approaching and we will be attending many family gatherings; we are trying to watch what we eat, so that we can indulge a little more during this season. 🙂 Denny’s makes eating out and staying on task pretty easy, with their fresh ingredients and healthier options!
As I said before, not only does Denny’s offer budget friendly menu items, but they also offer super fresh ingredients and they even have a Fit Fare menu with healthy option of your choosing. Perfect, right? On our recent visit, the kiddos had kid burgers with a side of apples. Perfectly satisfying and no extra calories. Hubby decided to order a Denny’s classic burger. Which, if you didn’t know, Denny’s burgers use high-quality, 100% beef patties (at a 6 ½ ounce measurement). Since, I prefer chicken, I was in between the Chicken-salad sandwich and the avocado chicken Cesar salad. I ended up going with the Chicken-salad sandwich, I will get the chicken Cesar salad the next time I go to Denny’s. 🙂 Oh, I also spotted the on the Denny’s menu the Wild-caught Alaska Salmon, which by the way, it is wild, natural and sustainable. Also on their menu is the seasonal fruit, which rotate based on seasonal options and sure was calling my name! Doesn’t everything looks and sound amazing?
