FREE Family FUN Ideas

October 14, 2012 by Ana

One way we save money is by seeking fun FREE venues to take the kids throughout the year. Some of the FREE events my kids participate monthly are the Home Depot and Lowe’s Kids workshops. ToysRus, BabiesRus, Walmart, Target, Michael’s and the Disney Store also host FREE kids events throughout the year. Many of our local museums are also FREE to the public every month. We invite you to join us on our FREE family fun weekend!

First thing Saturday morning was to get the kids up and eat a hearty breakfast, a great way to save your money before heading out. After breakfast, the kids and my husband headed to Home Depot to participate in the monthly free kids’ workshop. As you can see from the picture above, they built a fire truck they also got a bag of chips, juice, kids apron, safety glasses, a certificate of achievement and a balloon.

Our second stop of the day was at our local Blockbuster store for the Madagascar 3 Circus Party. The kids enjoyed complimentary face painting, pin the tail on Gloria, Madagascar crafts and watch the first two movies.

Our next stop was at our local ToysRus to check out and play with the latest Beyblade tops. Sorry no picture, I guess my head was somewhere else.

For lunch, we stopped at a local Little Caesars and picked up one large pizza and one order of crazy bread. We LOVE the crazy bread from Little Caesars.

After lunch, we decided to head to the park to burn some calories and spend some time outdoors.  The kids had fun playing at the park and we enjoy the time we spend outside. After the park, we headed home to rest and get ready for Sunday.

Sunday morning, we spend the entire morning at home resting and enjoying the family. After lunch, we headed to a complimentary event at Tervis in Coconut Grove Miami hosted by our friends Los Tweens. The kids enjoyed cupcake decorating and art & crafts. We also had the opportunity to see a performance by the Miami Children’s Theater, which was a special surprise. We had a great weekend and the kids enjoy the fun FREE family activities around town.

Utilizando cupones para ahorrar en las compras cotidianas, y juntando ese dinerito para disfrutarlo en familia, ya sea en viajes, salidas al circo, cine o en compras de ropa para nosotros.
