Fast & Furious 6

This movie delivers exactly what we expect. It has fast cars, explosions, fights an awesome girl fight sequence between Gina Carano and Michelle Rodriguez, gun fights, humor and Dwayne Johnson. In a nutshell the movie is a shot of testosterone.

Plot wise the movie is pretty much standard issue and it is simply an excuse for fast cars, fights and all that good stuff. The main theme is family and the movie revolves around the rescue of Michelle Rodriguez’s character Letty who had been presumably killed in a previous movie. On this movie she reappears as one of Shaw’s (the new international villain) henchmen. Since Shaw’s procedures resemble Dom Toretto’s (Vin Diesel), Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) recruits the old gang to take him down in exchange for amnesty and their friend.

Fast & Furious 6

This was one of those movies were the crowd was hyped overly hyped. The movie is filled with thrills and little one liners that really got the crowd wild. If that is a sign of a good movie this one definitely has it. My best compliment goes to the director Justin Lee because he did a great job at working with so many characters and giving them all part in the drama and the action without overlooking anybody.

The action sometimes goes way beyond the boundaries of reality which might be a turn off for some but not for the fans of the series. Any way I look at it, the movie was a great time worthy of seeing it again. And last but not least, stay until the end for an extra scene that hints to a seventh movie with a new surprise superstar, the people went wild when they saw him.

FAST & FURIOUS 6 has been rated PG-13 for intense sequences of violence and action and mayhem throughout, some sexuality and language.

FAST & FURIOUS 6 – Synopsis:

Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Dwayne Johnson lead the returning cast of all-stars as the global blockbuster franchise built on speed races to its next continent in Fast & Furious 6. Reuniting for their most high-stakes adventure yet, fan favorites Jordana Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Sung Kang, Gal Gadot, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges and Elsa Pataky are joined by badass series newcomers Luke Evans and Gina Carano.

Since Dom (Diesel) and Brian’s (Walker) Rio heist toppled a kingpin’s empire and left their crew with $100 million, our heroes have scattered across the globe. But their inability to return home and living forever on the lam have left their lives incomplete.

Meanwhile, Hobbs (Johnson) has been tracking an organization of lethally skilled mercenary drivers across 12 countries, whose mastermind (Evans) is aided by a ruthless second-in-command revealed to be the love Dom thought was dead, Letty (Rodriguez). The only way to stop the criminal outfit is to outmatch them at street level, so Hobbs asks Dom to assemble his elite team in London. Payment? Full pardons for all of them so they can return home and make their families whole again.

Building on the worldwide blockbuster success of Fast Five and taking the action, stunts and narrative to even greater heights, Fast & Furious 6 sees director Justin Lin back behind the camera for the fourth time. He is supported by longtime producers Neal H. Moritz and Vin Diesel, who welcome producer Clayton Townsend back to the series.
