Fun Things To Do in Orlando Besides Theme Parks
As we finalized our plans on what to do while in Orlando, we decided that we just had to visit The Crayola Experience located at the Florida Mall. Let me just say that as soon as you drive up to this venue, you instantly know you will have fun. So what is The Crayola Experience? The Crayola Experience is a 70,000 square feet complex with 25 hands-on attractions.
So, what is there to do at The Crayola Experience? As I said before, The Crayola Experience offers 25 hands-on attractions. Each attraction different than the next. Although we loved all the opportunities for individualized creativity, our favorite attractions were: to begin with, the wrap it up! station. is something you cannot miss while visiting the Crayola Experience. There you are able to customize your own crayon label and wrap your own crayon as well. After you are all wrapped up 🙂 you just have to check out the melt & mold and drip art stations, here you will have the opportunity to create Crayola Experience keepsakes using melted crayons.
Sounds like fun, right? Check out the video above for a quick look at The Crayola Experience, then grab your kiddos, and spend a few hours there having fun. After having an amazing day at The Crayola Experience, take a drive to I-Drive 360 and experience Orlando in a whole new way.
First off, if you haven’t had the opportunity to explore I-Drive 360, you definitely have to check it out. So, what is I-Drive 360? I-Drive 360 is Orlando’s new attraction and entertainment destination and home to The Coca-Cola Orlando Eye, Sea Life Aquarium, Madame Tussaud’s wax museum. But that’s not all, there is plenty of shopping opportunities here and plenty of restaurants to choose from. Now, let’s explore three of I-Drive 360’s venues.
First stop has to be The Coca-Cola Orlando Eye, this iconic 400-foot tall observation wheel is located at the heart of the I-Drive 360 entertainment complex and offers amazing 360-degree views of Orlando from above. Each capsule features a spacious air conditioned interior, seating, and to help guide your ride, an interactive tablet in which you can explore the near by landmarks. On certain clear days, you can even see cape canaveral, so be sure to look for that.
From air to the sea! Once you are done exploring the ah-mazing views Orlando has to offer from the majestic Coca Cola Orlando Eye, you definitely must head to Sea Life Aquarium. So, what is Sea Life Aquarium? Sea Life Aquarium is home to over 5,000 creatures including colorful fish, seahorses, and jellyfish.
At Sea Life, you and your family will surround yourself in each differently themed habitat. As you enter the aquarium you will dive into full interactive stations, from turtles, sharks, and interactive Sea anemones display. Oh, this is super cute, make sure your kids record their journey using the free Dive Log Book, they will get a surprise at the end! Immerse yourself in Sea Life’s 360-degree ocean tunnel to see even more sea life. All of these features make for an incredible experience that both you and your kids will truly love.
From the depths of the sea life to wax statues, the next stop will get you red carpet ready! I am talking about Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum. Here, you are able to shake hands with current and past presidents, and even get on stage with your favorite pop star, or get up close and personal with your favorite A-lister. Oh, plus at Madame Tussaud’s you can take the ultimate selfie! so get camera ready. 🙂
But that’s not all, here you can find life size replicas of your favorite animated stars, such as Skek & Fiona and Kung Fu Panda. Hey, have you ever wanted to join Neil Armstrong as one of the few people to have set foot on the moon? You can check that off your bucket list while you are visiting Madam Tussaud’s wax museum.
