The first thought that comes to mind when you think about South Florida is to hit the beach. However, Miami has a lot more to offer than just the beaches, after all, there is so much the kids can do at the beach and then you have to take the weather into consideration. So, here is a list of fun things to do with the kids in Miami.
Fun things to do with the Kids in Miami!
There are many popular outdoor places that can be enjoyed all year long, places such as, Jungle Island, Vizcaya Gardens, Zoo Miami, Miami Seaquarium, the Gold Coast Railroad Museum, Everglades National Park, Lion Country Safari, and of course the many outdoor pools & playgrounds throughout the city. But that just touching the surface of what to do with the kids in Miami.
There are also many indoor places where you and your kids can stay dry from the summer rainy season & also enjoy learning and having fun under the A/C. Some of my favorite places to take the kids are the Museum of Discovery and Science, Cool de Sac, Miami Science Museum, HistoryMiami, Miami Children’s Museum, and several others. Some of these indoor museums and indoor playgrounds provide Free admission dates all year long, check their webpages for availability and specific event dates. One thing we will be taking advantage of is the Miami-Dade Public Library free passes to some of the kid-friendly venues mentioned above. These passes are available to anyone with a Miami-Dade Library card and are available on first-come, first served basis.
