Get On the Water This Summer

Boats-in-Miami-Beach-Miami-Mommy-SavingsSummer has officially arrived in Miami!

Since Miami is rounded by water, many recreational activities happens in or near some kind of water source, well all year long, but specially in the summer months. Ever since I was young, I recall having tons of summer fun at the beach, or riding on jet skis or boating on my parent’s friends’ boat. It was so much fun, no worries, no homework, just pure summer fun! I guess that is the convenience of living in sunny south Florida. đŸ™‚ My husband, whom was also raised in Miami, experienced some of the same activities as well. Him, his friends and his brother were often found fishing near a lake, canal or up on a boat. Fun, Fun, Fun, at least that is what he says. Honestly, I have never been fishing; however, one day when the kids are a bit older, we will be sure to take a family fishing trip.

I don’t have all the details worked out yet for this hopeful fishing trip, but one of the first thing I want to do as soon as the kids are a bit older is for all of us to take a boat in the keys to enjoy some fishing or even stop by one of the smaller keys and have a picnic lunch right there on the sand. Doesn’t that sound lovely? I think it sound heavenly. Another thing we will be sure to do is ride on one of the many 4th of July boat parades happening in and around South Florida. Wouldn’t it be spectacular to see all the decorated boats up close and finish by watching the fireworks aboard a boat by the bay? I think so, at least that’s what I would love it to be.
