Spring is just days away, however, here in Florida, it seems that someone forgot to tell Mother nature that fact! Brr, it is chilly in Florida. 🙂 But don’t get me wrong, we are loving this bit of Winter weather, which is such a relief from the mild weather we were having before this week. If you been following us for a while, you know that I have lived in the South Florida area for most of my life and trust me, we love our state. Because of what Florida has to offer, from its exciting venues, amazing beaches, and of course; since Florida is known from its citrus, we cannot forget our favorite seasonal Florida fresh produce. One advantage of living in the sunshine state is that I can take my kiddos to pick fresh seasonal fruits and veggies, like strawberries and our favorite cucumbers from our nearby local farmers or any of the many stores that stock all locally grown produce. Since we are HUGE fruit and veggie lovers, today I want to share with you A Guide to Florida Fresh Produce – Winter Months Edition.
First of all, let’s begin with the most logical steps to this guide. What’s in season right now? The winter in-season list is as follows:

The second step to this guide, is why should you buy in-season fruits and veggies? Well, that’s kind of an easy answer, right? You want to buy in-season fruits and veggies because of number one, these fruits and veggies are at their ripest. And number two because they are at their optimal price point.
