It is that time of the year again, when we head into the kitchen to perfect our baking skills. With just a few days away before Thanksgiving, I decided to gather a few Betty Crocker baking products and head into the kitchen and make a fun Christmas tree for the kids to decorate. If you are in the same baking spirit as me, make sure you stop by the Publix’s Baking center website where you can grab extra savings on Betty Crocker, Hershey’s and Ziploc brand container products as well as on other essential baking products.
My kids love to decorate cookies and cupcakes with sweet sprinkles and frosting, so making this sweet dessert was not a difficult decision and Betty Crocker Supreme Brownie mix helped this process run smoother. I decided that instead of making simple brownies, to make a cake that the kids could enjoy decorating and of course eating it afterwards. I followed Betty Crocker Supreme Brownie mix box instructions to make a brownie cake, placed it in a Christmas tree mold, baked it, cooled it and let the kids decorate it. As you can see from the first picture above, the kids used two different kinds of sprinkles to follow the imprinted outline from the tree mold. This was a super fun and easy activity for the kids that you can do for the upcoming holiday season or for a lazy weekend at home.
If you love cookies then you might want to try this Betty Crocker Festive Mini Cookie Cups recipe below and let your little ones have fun decorating the cookies with different color sprinkles and/or Hershey’s kisses chocolates. Be sure to be on the lookout for in-store savings at your local Publix supermarket and online at the ReadyPlanSave website. If you decide to make our Holiday Brownie Cake, be sure to come back and share with us how the family liked it.
