Iced coffee is a MUST-have at our home! From the moment we are up, our day cannot start out right if we are not enjoying a delicious and very cold homemade iced coffee. Yes, that’s right, hubby and I are not one of those hot-cup-of-java people you see running around in the AM, no way! We prefer to enjoy a cup of our ultimate homemade iced coffee in the comfort of our home. So, what makes our recipe so different from the rest? If you happened to look online, you will notice that there are 1001 different recipes of iced coffee, our version just adds a little bit of our what we like to our cup of Joe!

Ultimate Homemade Iced Coffee

Okay, so for starters, we really dislike when you go to the corner coffee shop and order an iced coffee and they proceed to add hot brewed coffee, milk, and sugar to a cup of ice and call it a day. So, to make it just the way we like it, we tried many different variations is this is what we came up with. First of all, we brew a very strong cup of coffee, one of our favorite coffee brands is Community Coffee. Anyways, how do we do this? Well, basically, all we just double the amount of coffee you usually add when we make regular coffee. Once the coffee has been brewed, we let it cool down to room temperature and then store it in the refrigerator overnight. Once we are ready to prepare our iced coffee, this is what we do: in a big coffee mug, add your cold brewed coffee, 1-2 tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk, a nice splash of half-and-half (hubby loves half-and-half, so his coffee gets double the amount), 1-2 teaspoons of vanilla, and lots and lots of ice.
