Did you hear the news? The Coca-Cola Orlando Eye is now ICON Orlando, the iconic 400-foot tall observation wheel has undergone a rebranding. Not only has the wheel changed its name, the complexed that houses this attraction has also changed its name and it is now ICON Orlando 360. With the rebranding also comes new experiences.
My family and I were hosted by the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel at the Entrance to Universal Orlando and ICON Orlando in exchange for an honest review. No monetary compensation was received.
The Coca-Cola Orlando Eye is now ICON Orlando
ICON Orlando is located in the heart of the ICON Orlando 360 entertainment complex. This instantly recognizable Orlando feature offers amazing 360-degree views of the Orlando landscape from above. As I mentioned before, the Coca-Cola Orlando Eye has rebranded and it is now ICON Orlando. But the name is not the only change, because they now offer new experiences for their guests to enjoy 365 days a year. For starters, ICON Orlando has been retrofitted with Wi-Fi capabilities.
But don’t worry, the capsules have retained their original features, such as, spacious air-conditioned interiors, seating, and to help guide your ride, each capsule still has an interactive tablet in which you can explore the nearby landmarks. One more thing was added to their experience package, you can now customize your immersive experiences, which allows you with the opportunity to personalize your flight.
So, what are some of the new experiences been offered by ICON Orlando? ICON Orlando now offers an ICONic Annual Pass, where you can enjoy 365 days of fun at the ICON Orlando for only $69 plus tax. But what about for those of us that do not live in the Central Florida area? Well, now until September 30, 2018, over 20 in Orlando are offering a brand new , giving guests the chance to enjoy Orlando activities beyond the theme parks during their visit. Guests who book Experience Orlando package will get exclusive access to over $200-worth of unique discounts at over a dozen attractions and experiences around Central Florida, from family-oriented to thrilling adventures.
Hey, if everything mentioned above is not enough to convince you to take a ride on ICON Orlando, how about a private party capsule? That experience is reserved for adults only. Here, ICON Orlando will host you and your friends in a private party capsule that features complimentary beer and wine with a private bartender for up to 10 guests.
Thanks to Hilton Orlando Hotels, my family and I had the opportunity to see the new changes happening at both the ICON Orlando attraction and at the Orlando 360 entertainment complex itself. Although we didn’t experience the nightly show yet, where both the ICON Orlando wheel and the courtyard fountains come to live with brightly lit synchronized lights, I am sure must be a sight to see.
But hey, the Icon Orlando is always a hit with our family because honestly, every time you take a ride on the ICON Orlando observation wheel is like riding it for the first time. Depending on the day and weather, you can see as far as Cape Canaveral. On our recent ride, we even got to see the new attraction across Orlando 360. The Orlando Starflyer attraction is now open and it looks really cool. The kids cannot wait to do that attraction the next time we head back to Central Florida. You can check out our most recent ride on ICON Orlando on the video above.
After your ride on ICON Orlando, you can head on over to the Sea Life Aquarium, Madame Tussaud’s wax museum or the Skeleton museum. And because we all want to eat a delicious meal, grab something at the many restaurants available right there at the Orlando 360 complex.
