As I told you earlier this month, this mommy got invited to attend the Monsters University world premiere at El Capitan Theater in Hollywood Blvd. in Los Angeles, you can read all about it here. So, why do I call this trip an adventure? First off, I have lived in Miami for 20 plus years and only been on a plane twice since moving here. Secondly, every time I have embarked on my so call “adventures”, I have had hubby and kiddos to accompany and provided me with moral support. Hubby, kiddos and my extended family were extremely supportive and gave me their blessing to head on and spread my wings. With all my anticipation of facing something that I have never experienced before, this past Monday, June 17 I head back to college to joined my other 24 classmates at the Monsters University premiere in L.A and to begin my new adventure.
I arrived in L.A at 10:30 AM, L.A time and immediately went straight to my hotel, excuse me dorm room. 🙂 I had a few hours to eat and relax and then it was time to get my college supplies ready and to head on over to the tailgate party and world premiere of M.U.
Arriving to the famous Hollywood blvd. is such an incredible experience, the crowd were there so see the creme de la creme of Hollywood. My heart was pumping as I recognized many of L.A’s legendary monuments, sounds and establishments of the infamous place that is Hollywood blvd.
Making our way to the front of El Capitan Theater was another amazing experience, the blue carpet was pristine and blue & white trimmings were everywhere. I got to meet some wonderful actors, I also got to meet Jarod, one of Subways spokespersons, they were all super nice and made a world of difference in my first Hollywood experience. The tailgate party was also one of a kind! As soon as I set foot in there I knew it was going to be so much fun, there were all kinds of foods, treats, music, a cheering squad and even a marching band. If you were following my many Instagrams and Twitter updates, you are familiar with many many of the images from that night but I also decided to shot a video so that you can get a feel of the sounds and sights from that day, see below.
The night was sealed with the world premiere of Monsters University, but you have to stay tune for my review of the movie, I will have that up tomorrow. For now I want to thank Disney for allowing me to partake on this amazing event and for allowing me to have this memory embedded for the rest of my life.
