Refreshing Summer with Prestige Ice Cream!
What is you idea of a refreshing summer treat? For us is a good-finger-licking ice cream! Every night after dinner the kids tend to ask for dessert but during the summer months all they want is a refreshing bowl of ice cream, after all, we live in Miami and the Summer months are quite hot even when you are indoors. I recently learned that Winn Dixie supermarkets has added new flavors to their premium ice cream and frozen novelty brand. Winn Dixie invited my family and I to try three of the seven new flavors varieties and knowing my kids, I knew I couldn’t turn down a chance to try these delicious new flavors. This past weekend my oldest son and I headed to our local Winn Dixie Supermarket store and purchased Coffee Shoppe, Milk Chocolate and Salty Caramel Truffle to try at home.
Before I continue, let me introduce you to the Prestige Ice cream line… Prestige Ice Creams are made with real milk and cream and are available in twenty different flavor varieties from vanilla to the new flavors (listed below). There is a Prestige Ice Cream flavor for any palate! 😉

As I mentioned above Prestige Ice Cream are made from real milk and cream but that is not all, these premium ice creams also contain pieces of real fruit, nuts and chocolate chunks, have I said enough!? The texture and quality in these ice cream is amazing, they are creamy, not too sweet and you can really see and taste the fruit, nuts and chocolate pieces.
We decided to let the kids get in the fun and let them decide how they wanted to topped their mid-week treat with. They decided to add sprinkles and banana to the Prestige Milk Chocolate variety (first picture at the beginning of this post) and just sprinkles to the Prestige Salted Caramel Truffle (pictured above). The Prestige Ice Cream were both delicious just by themselves as well as how the kids decided to topped them. We look forward to trying out the other flavor varieties soon.
In addition to the new Prestige ice cream flavor varieties currently available, Winn Dixie will also be releasing new flavor varieties to their Prestige Fruit Bars and Prestige Gelato line. There will be six new varieties of Prestige fruit bars, all made with 100 percent real fruit. Flavors include Mango Fruit, Pina Colada, Raspberry, Strawberry, Caribbean Fruit and Strawberry Colada. Also, look out for six new varieties of gelato including Bananas Foster, White Chocolate Raspberry, Tiramisu, Caramel Sea Salt, Italian Cookie Crunch and Coconut at your local Winn Dixie Supermarkets.
