Well, well, well. The Halloween season is here and it is time to prepare with this super easy, fun, and healthy Halloween platter for kids! If your family is anything like mine, Halloween is not just one day, it is more like 31 days of Halloween fun. This means that we will not be hosting one but probably two or three Halloween themed gatherings, including their school’s annual trunk-or-treat.
Since this mommy is always looking to score some cool points with the kiddos, I decided that this year I would try my hand at some fun snacks for them to enjoy during their Halloween festivities and this is what I came up with.
Super Easy, Fun, and Healthy Halloween Platter for Kids
Let’s begin with what do you need to create these delicious ghoulish-cious platters. You will need a few bananas (depending on how many kids you’re hosting), large chocolate chips, a bag of Clementines or mandarin oranges, celery, Mini Babybel® Original and Mini Babybel® Light, raisins, and crunchy pretzels or crackers.
Let’s continue with what you need to do to create your super easy and super cute Halloween platter.
- First, to create your pumpkins. Peel your clementines or mandarin oranges and top with chopped celery.
- Second, to create your banana ghosts. First, cut each banana in half, then press a large chocolate chip in each banana to create a mouth, and use two large chocolate chips for eyes.
- Third, to create your cheesy spiders. Peel some Mini Babybel® Original and Mini Babybel® Light from its wrapper and casing. To make the legs, stick three pretzel sticks on either side of your Mini Babybel® cheese and top with two raisins in the center of the cheese for the eyes.
- Now, assemble your platter and let the kids enjoy the fun!
