Now that the Holidays are almost over, it is time to make our new year’s resolutions. But wait, before you grab paper and pencil to begin writing down everything you want to accomplish in the new year, we have to pause to celebrate this year’s New Year’s eve and day! Since we are still enjoying our Holiday Chocolate Bark from last week, this weekend I dove head first into our preparations and deciding on menu options for our New Year’s eve party. Before I went to purchase all the necessary party favors, I stopped at my favorite CVS Pharmacy store location and took advantage of some of the after-Christmas sales. Yes, I scored great finds, but the best part is that I found tons of items for our party.

As soon as I got home, I began our party preparations by making one of my favorite easy appetizers. I am talking about our Sweet and Savory New Year’s Party Mix. This recipe is quite easy to make, plus you can make it in advance. Just make sure you store your party mix in a re-sealable zipper storage bag. Okay, so what do you need to make this recipe? All you need are equal parts (1-2 cups) of the following ingredients: Gold Emblem Abound Heavenly Light Pop Corn, Gold Emblem Abound Omega-3 Trail Mix, Pretzels (your choice), and 1/2 parts (1/2-1 cup) of M&M’s. To prepare: In a medium size bowl, mix all the ingredients together and serve.

That was easy, right? This recipe is sure to be a big hit with everyone, the combination of the nuts, pretzels, and popcorn give this party mix it savory flavor and the dried cranberries, sweet raisins, and the M&M’s give it is sweet flavor. One word of caution, make sure your party guests are not allergic to nuts, so make sure you label everything before you set up your New Year’s eve party table. Stay tuned because I will be sharing how CVS/Pharmacy and the Gold emblem abound line of products will help me and my family #FindYourHealthy into the new year. If you decide to make our Sweet and Savory New Year’s Party Mix recipe, be sure to come back and let us know how your family enjoyed them by dropping us a note in the comment section below.
