The Oogieloves in the BIG Balloon Adventure hits Theaters August 29, 2012!

August 5, 2012 by Ana

My family and I were invited to a preview an advance screening of The Oogieloves in the BIG Balloon Adventure movie last Tuesday. If you are not familiar or haven’t yet heard of The Oogieloves you will heard all about it later this month. We had a chance to meet with the producer of the film, Ken Viselman, and the writer, Scott Stabile.

The Producer:

Ken Viselman founded The itsy bitsy Entertainment Company (TibECo) in 1995 after being recognized as the mastermind behind the marketing success of Thomas the Tank Engine. He was the driving force behind the rebirth of such children’s classics “Eloise” and “Noddy.” Under Viselman’s leadership, TibECo became one of the world’s most successful and admired children’s entertainment companies. Viselman was a producing partner behind the phenomenon known as “Teletubbies,” one of the most successful children’s brands in history.

In addition to producing “Teletubbies” in association with Ragdoll for the Western Hemisphere, Viselman’s efforts include the top-selling soft toys, puzzles, games, books, videos, clothing and ancillary products. Viselman helped to conceive and oversee all of the company’s PR and advertising campaigns for each of its award-winning products.

The Writer:

Scott Stabile is an Author, Brooklyn Bites, a series of food-fueled short stories published by McCarren Park Publishing. Co-authored a series of Li’l Pet Hospital books for Harper Collins that addressed the concepts of friendship and compassion. Developed a number of non-fiction programs for networks such as National Geographic, History Channel, Travel Channel and Discovery Channel for independent programming leader Indigo Films. Created I (Almost) Got Away With It (the most successful series of all time for the Discovery’s I.D. Network).

The Oogieloves:

The fact is that many animated movies contain content that is not really appropriate for young children, such as loss of a parent (s), violence, or jokes geared toward an adult audience  this is something that Ken and his producing team recognized.  Ken production team thought about what would make for a great movie experience were kids could enjoy and parents will want to take them. Kids love live-action shows and 3D movies, but both are so expensive and younger kids hate to put on the 3D glasses. Also parents feel bad when their kids make noise and want to get up during the movie.  The Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure provides kids with a chance to get up dance and sing along the Oogieloves.  It’s a movie that children love and parents want their children to love!

I cannot give up a lot of details about the movie, but I can tell you is the my kids enjoy the movie and even tough they did not get up and dance they did enjoy the songs and the Oogieloves. The Oogieloves premiers August 29, 2012.  Check out the movie trailer below. Visit the Oogieloves here where you can download a parent’s guide to the movie.
