Charlie Brown, Lucy Van Pelt, Linus, Peppermint Patty, Schroeder, Franklin, Snoopy, Woodstock and the rest of the beloved Peanuts gang are BACK, in a huge way. If you are making plans to take the kiddos to see the new film this weekend, great, you won’t be disappointed! If you don’t have plans yet, I highly encourage you to rethink that. For the past 65 years Charlie Brown along side the rest of the Peanuts gang, maybe not all of them, have inspired the little dreamers inside all of us. So, if you are ready to enjoy a story right out of the classic comic strip, grab your little ones and head to the theater today!
The Peanuts Movie: A Movie Review!
In this new Peanuts movie we get to see many of the classic characters we are all familiar with, one nostalgic character from the original Peanuts comic strip and a brand new character. In 1950, Charles M. Schulz introduced the Peanuts gangs in his daily newspaper comic strip, throughout the years more characters were introduced, including Little Red-Haired Girl. In the Peanuts movie we finally get to see, Charlie Brown’s dream girl. We also get to meet Snoopy’s love interest, a femme-fatale beagle, named Fifi.
As I stated before, if you are a fan of the Peanuts comic strips, “A Charlie Brown Christmas” film, or “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” television special, this movie will not disappoint. From the moment we sat down to the moment the movie ended, we were glued to the screen. It is funny, great comedic timing, great song selection, great characters, and great story line. Above all, the 3D format doesn’t take away from the original characters drawn by Charles M. Schulz. As a parent, I truly appreciate that the movie gives the opportunity to speak to the kids about perseverance, friendship and honesty. Take the kids and go see it!
