Three romantic and inexpensive dates for Valentine’s Day
If you’re on a budget for this Valentine’s Day, you may be worried about what you can do to surprise your sweetheart with a great date. It doesn’t have to cost you a lot to be fun and romantic, but you do need some creative ideas. Try one of these- or all of them!
Bed, Breakfast, and Bubble Bath…
Bed and Breakfasts book up fast for Valentine’s Day, and many aren’t cheap. If you want the romance of one, though, you can get it at home! No one says your romantic date can’t start in the morning. Make your sweetheart fantastic breakfast in bed, and stay in late. Then, head to the bathroom for a romantic bubble bath for two- there’s nothing sexier! Turn off the lights, block windows, play some romantic tunes, pepper the water with rose petals, use plush towels for extra decadence, and have fun soaking together with a glass of your favorite Mimosa. After your bath, take your love back to bedroom, where you have set things up to look like a hotel getaway with new sheets and pillows, and a brunch style dessert in bed.
Treasure Hunt around Town…
After the two of you have gotten up, present your love with a treasure map. In it, he or she will find clues to finding the gift you bought them. Add in stops at their favorite art gallery, or the place where the two of you met. Have fun running all over town, seeing new things, experiencing old sites and places, and just enjoying being with one another. Bring along a camera and capture the fun!
Picnic Dinner and a Romantic Movie…
Once you’ve returned home, have your significant other rest with their favorite movie as you whip up a fantastic home-cooked meal and set out a picnic. Don’t forget the flowers and candles! Turn the lights out, the music on, and have fun laughing about your day or just enjoying one another. Afterward, head back to your comfy bed and enjoy a glass of wine and a movie, or take your date outside for some dancing under the stars. It will be a day they’ll never forget!
