Valentine’s Day is less than two weeks away & most probably kids will be eating lots of cupcakes and candy. However, we made the decision that we will be making healthier chooses this year, of course this doesn’t mean that we will not be enjoying savory treats during Valentine’s day! This year, Winn-Dixie also want to join in the festivities by celebrating healthy and kid-friendly treats that are perfect for your child’s Valentine’s Day parties, they have asked me to share with you which snacks we are planning for the kiddos this Valentine’s day .
Today I went to Winn-Dixie to gather some supplies to prepare the kiddos a savory & healthy snack. My first step was to head to the produce section & grabbed some of my kiddos’ favorite fruit: bananas & grapes. Next stop, I grabbed bottle water, we are trying to drink more water & less juice. I also stopped by the deli & grabbed some salami & cheese for tonight’s snack, which will be our test run on our Valentine’s day snacks. After gathering my supplies I head home, as soon as I got home the kiddos wanted a snack, so it was the perfect time to prepare what I had in mind. You can find the two recipes I prepared below.

My kids loved their heart-shaped salami cheesy bites & their Valentine’s Day fruit kabob, now I know that I will be preparing this for them & their friends on Valentine’s day. What do you think? I cut foods up into fun to eat shapes.
I have plenty of fresh fruit available at all times and the kids have to eat their veggies to get a snack treat before going to bed.
I always sneak in the vegetables. It just takes a little creativity to hide some great veggies in a casserole or in a smoothie. They never even know they’re eating healthy. Thank you.
