Get your school shopping done fast and easy with Westland Mall.
Plus learn more about our Westland Mall Back-To-School Shopping Experience.
It is official, school starts tomorrow and I have a confession to make. I am utterly not ready for school to begin. But wait, if you are thinking, aww, she is emotionally not ready. Think again! The emotional part is covered and as a matter of fact, we are looking forward to the new school year, it will be a fun adventure having all the kids in the same school. What I mean is that this past summer we had a bit too much fun and kind of put off shopping until the last minute. Yes, shocker! Thankfully, down here in South Florida, we have pretty amazing shopping malls. One such mall is Westland Mall located at 1675 West 49th St Hialeah FL 33012. Since I couldn’t put off shopping any longer, yesterday we headed to Westland mall and shopped until we had every single item on our shopping list. Plus, we couldn’t pass on the opportunity to attend Westland’s annual Back-to-School backbag giveaway.
Westland Mall Back-To-School Shopping Experience + Giveaway
Westland’s annual Back-to-School backbag giveaway.
Since Westland Mall houses 87 stores and specialty shops, including some of our favorite retails stores, such as JCPenney, Macy’s, Sears, Bath & Body Works, The Children’s Place and Aeropostale, we knew we will have plenty of options during this trip. Of course while at the mall, we had to take advantage of The Children’s Place Place Cash offer going on now through September 12, 2016. We also took advantage of JCPenney’s Buy One Get another for $0.01 (offer ends August 28) on Arizona men’s, boys’, or girls’ apparel or accessory item, which is a great offer on its own. However, knowing that you can help make a difference is even better, right? Now through September 2, 2016, JCPenney will DONATE $1 to the YMCA for every pair of Arizona jeans that is sold to help support the Y’s Academic Achievement Programs (up to $250K). Pretty cool, right? Oh, but wait. If those two offers weren’t great enough on their own, then this might be…
Since May 16, Westland Mall debuted a mall-wide shopping reward program that rewards you while you shop. The mall’s Oh, So Simple rewards program is a simple shop and earn program and all you have to do to earn your reward is enroll a qualified credit or debit and use that card to make your shopping. Once you have spent $250 on one trip or several trips, you will earn $10. Neat, right? Plus your rewards are automatically applied to whatever purchase you want. Trust me, this is very handy when you are bind to spent more than that dressing three kiddos for Back-to-School.
Westland Mall is not only about shopping, oh no! They also house many dining options including Fuddruckers, Chili’s Grill and Bar, IHOP, a diverse array of Food Court eateries and one of our favorite restaurants in South Florida, Los Ranchos Steakhouse. So, before we headed home with our hands full of shopping bags, we decided to stop by and take advantage of Los Ranchos’ kids eat free during Westland Mall’s Backpack giveaway event.
After a day of getting our shopping done and enjoying some good Nicaraguan food, we left the mall with a full belly and a happy heart. Now, we are ready for the kids to go back to school! Thanks to Westland Mall for hosting us, but wait we are not through yet…
Thanks to Westland Mall, ONE lucky Miami Mommy Savings reader will win a

Scan the Sale ads and map out a game plan before you leave the house it will save you time and money
My tip is to get started early. I try to make a list, and hit up multiple sales in store and online, to get the best deals.
Take advantage of your state’s tax free weekend to get a lot of your shopping done.
My tip is to shop online using coupons, discount codes, free shipping, or shop where you can combine coupons for greatest savings.
My favorite tip for back to school shopping is to watch the ads and use those coupons but more than that by at the end of the school year the year before you can get some great deals!
I start early to beat the crowds and before things are picked over. I like to buy mix n match pieces to make your money go further with more outfit options.
My tip is to shop for school supplies all year and not wait until the last minute. Checking the ads each week is also helpful!
I look for sales and coupons

I use the ads to look at the prices and I shop at the Mall and go to the stores sales and get the best prices on school clothes and supplies.
I use online coupon sites, watch for sales and try to price match.
My best tip is get an early start, shop the sales and I buy a couple outfits to start the year, Usually shorts and t-shirts, then buy fall clothes.
My tip is to shop after school starts I have found better deals. Shopping online always is a big time saver to.
My tip is to show the kids ideas online to narrow down their choices. This will save time and give you a chance to look for deals.

I watch for great sales year round. It is best to start early!
make sure you get double of everything! cause if they are anything like my kids they are ruining it.

I try to start earlier than everyone else – it doesn’t get me the best deals but it does help me beat the crowds.
My tip is to look at the clothes your kids before you shop. Then you will remember what they actually need.
My tip is to start early and make a list of exactly what the kids need. Get the basics first, and then if you can, you may get some of the extras that they like.
I like to check the ads all summer long and snag items when they are on sale not last minute when there is not many left or nothing on sale.
My best back to school tips are to shop the sales and start shopping early.

Don’t wait till the last minute. Compare prices, use coupons, and if it’s something they will need all year, buy a handful at the cheap price then.
My best tip is to not run out and buy at the beginning, wait for the sales to start on the fall clothes.
Try to get classic pieces that mix and match and won’t go out of style too fast.
my tip is to shop sales and use coupons
My best tips for back to school shopping are to wait for sales, use coupons and giftcards and shop online. There are so many great deals out there, if you look!
I usually shop during the summer and after school starts when stores offer great sales at the beginning of the school year or when after school starts and many stores offer discounts on school related items to make room on shelves for upcoming holiday items
My tips is start a routine before school starts that way the kids are used to it. Also find all the best deal before shopping ♡ I always buy pants in the summer time since they are on sale and shorts in the winter. I just go a size up.
I always try to start school shopping as early as possible and watch for sales. I do leave shoe shopping for later in the summer though since my kids’ feet seem to grow overnight!
I buy clothing a size or two up throughout the year when seasons change to save money
My best tips are to shop sales and go to outlets to save on clothing.
i always wait til about 2 weeks before school starts for the best sales on clothes. there always seem to be more coupons available then too.
We look for sales and coupons.
My parents always made sure we had maybe a week’s worth of clothes (some we could pair with what we already had in our closets) and of course our mandatory school supply lists…but then they would take us “back to school shopping” the week after school started because that’s when all the sales would be the best!!! And I still do it to this day!
Take advantage of store sales and pair it up with coupons. I sometimes wait until the Back-to-school items are down on clearance, then I stock up.
My tip would be to shop on tax free day for all you didn’t get prior to that day.
Have a list of basic items (jeans, dark pants, white button shirt, etc) that are MUSTS which can be mixed & matched with trendy (and cheaper) items throughout the year.
My best tip is to shop the sale racks.
Go early and shop the sales for the best deals
First go through your kids clothes, see what fits and what needs to be replaced. Sometimes you need to replace it all and sometime quite a bit still fit (and make them try it on). Then make a game plan and check sales.
i think its good to shop early. i don’t like being rushed
I try to do a lot of shopping online. What I don’t get online I look for bargains and use coupons.
I have 2 kids, one in 2nd grade and one a sophomore. The way I did it was look over the ads, then I took each kid separately and then had lunch… With coupons of course 🙂
Shop early if you can! Beat the crazy rush of everyone doing it at once!
I really like to shop all year long when I find a good sale. The best sales aren’t usually right before school starts. I love to shop in the summer clearance section in the fall. Everything is so cheap!
My best tips for back to school shopping are to wait for sales, use coupons and giftcards and shop online.
my best tips is to always look at all the deals going on, and go onto forums for deals and coupons to find the best prices of things! and to always make lists!
