The real-life story of one working wife and mother who became a hero to hundreds during World War II. In 1939 Poland, Antonina Żabińska (portrayed by two-time Academy Award nominee Jessica Chastain) and her husband, Dr. Jan Żabiński (Johan Heldenbergh of “The Broken Circle Breakdown”), have the Warsaw Zoo flourishing under his stewardship and her care. When their country is invaded by the Germans, Jan and Antonina are stunned – and forced to report to the Reich’s newly appointed chief zoologist, Lutz Heck (Daniel Brühl of “Captain America: Civil War”). To fight back on their own terms, Antonina and Jan covertly begin working with the Resistance – and put into action plans to save lives out of what has become the Warsaw Ghetto, with Antonina putting herself and even her children at great risk.

      I forgot to say why. I liked it because I liked reading about the cultures, etc. of Japan and it was such a romantic story!

    My favorite book is Marley& Me by John Gorgan because it tells the story of the development of a family along with a dog that they stuck with no matter how bad he was and through all their life changes.

    My favorite books were always mystery books and growing up I love reading Nany Drew mystery books the most. I loved trying to figure out who was the culprit and sometimes I was right.

    My favorite book is Infinite Jest by David Foster Wallace. I loved the characters and the various parallel stories happening at the same time. I never wanted the book to end.

    So many books I could choose from. I liked Great Expectations, had to read it in High School but loved it. Great charcters and their development by Dickens.
